What I want to change.

I care about the environment, for years I’ve been buying local, recycling, composting food scraps, and picking up garbage off the street, beach, trail, and ocean floor.

I obsess over plastic waste.  Is it necessary? How can I reduce or reuse? Is it really recycled? What’s the lifecycle of plastic that is not recycled? My obsession started when I was a bartender in NYC, we’d put plastic stir sticks in every drink. One swirl around the glass then plop on the bar, the floor, gone. We used millions of those single-use sticks, and they’re still out there festering in a landfill, polluting the environment, outlasting me.

That was 25 years ago, our addiction to plastic has grown making the United States the largest consumer of plastic in the world. But behavior is changing, bars use wood stir sticks now, and people are waking up to sustainable options. Change is happening. As an entrepreneur, I want to make BIG change, for me big change can come in small packages.

Bee Wild Outside is a packaging company committed to replacing single-use plastic in the sun care and beauty industries through innovative design. Our first product is a refillable sunscreen with a reusable dispenser.  9.18 million sunscreen sticks are sold in the US every year, all that packaging, whether made of recycled plastic or not, ends up in landfills or worse, littered in your favorite wild place.  Our product offers you a choice. We’re giving you a sustainable option, and challenging companies to up their game.

Bee Wild Outside products are designed for people who love the outdoors, who are willing to take an extra step to protect nature, and who cherish the future. If that’s you, we have lots of questions. Your feedback is key in helping us make the best product for everyone.

Thank you in advance for ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS and joining us on our adventure to change the world.
